Hi
My ds age 15 months got some bumps on his legs at the weekend, I thought they were hives and gave him some Claritin ( he is prescribed this for other allergies) . However they have not gone away and actually seem more inflamed today. He does not seem to be unwell just a bit fussy with his food, but he has a tooth coming in so that's to be expected.
The doctor has no appointments till Thursday and just thought I'd ask on here rather than google and end up thinking it's some flesh eating virus ;)

What is this?

If he's scratching/rubbing them they could be some kind of allergic reaction, perhaps to a bite or sting. Anthistan cream is a good thing to rub on them if they are itching. Otherwise I am just as baffled as you are. The doc will probs know.

Thanks for replying Smile
He is not scratching at all and I have used cream on them but just getting worse!

It could be heat rash. Dry skin is another possibility. Me DCs are prone to it, it looks like tiny red spots and feels rough when it gets bad, moisturiser sorts it out pretty quick.

I'd try and see the GP though given that your ds has other allergies just to be on the safe side.

I use a combination of germolene and anthistan on my patches. I get eczema patches sometimes which look similar to your son's. Hang in there for that GP appt tomorrow.

That's a clear vampire bite.
