Rising temp

Can this warm muggy weather cause a toddlers temperature to rise? It's only sitting at 37.8, so not actually high, but her normal temperature is 36.6. She only wants to sit and watch peppa and seems very grizzly this morning. Wasn't sure if the weather could be just making her warm and irritable or is something brewing....

I would say the first order of business is to cool her down. Put her in the bath, do some water play, lots of water to drink. I grew up in a hot country and we had siestas at mid day, ice lollies, ice cubes in drinks, cool fruits etc. As for a specific temperature it could be that she is hot. I'd say try some different things and that watch her and her well being. My 4 year old has a heat rash so we are trying to keep her cool.

We are on day 3 of a high temp now with no other signs or symptoms. Thank you for your reply jwpetal. We kept her naked, with windows open to cool the room, put ice cubes in her drink etc and had to put a fan in her bedroom as it was sitting at 27.7 degrees despite trying to cool it down all day. Her temperature is reducing to 37.7 at the most by alternating calpol/neurofen. As soon as either med wears off sometimes even before she is aloud another dose, it rises back to between 38.8 and 39.3. She has been off her food a little today and isn't really drinking much either. :( once she has medicine she seems fine in her self. Still no signs of illness.
