I have two sons, aged 7 and 5. Eldest is lean and tall. My youngest is undoubtedly developing a tummy.
I'm not planning to put him on a diet as such, but I am planning to increase his daily activity levels.
Does this sound reasonable? He had an op around 3 months ago so was laid up for a few weeks but is fine now. He then badly sprained his ankle so admittedly he hasn't been as active as he could have been over the last few months.
I know I shouldn't compare but his brother doesn't stop moving, eats like a horse but doesn't have a sweet tooth. Younger son has a very sweet tooth and just doesn't move as much as his brother.
I'm thinking proper long walks, banning sweets (I'm sure he has a secret stash) and as much swimming as I can squeeze in.
He seems fine everywhere else - it is just his tummy.
