Clay like poos

Just been on hol. My child has a cough but no other tummy symptoms. A while ago she said she had red poos but she wouldn't let me see and flushed it away before I could have a look. She seems generally well but doesn't eat a lot. Do you think this is due to poor diet or is a trip to the gp in order? I only noticed the poos the past few days.

Do you mean lime grey/white poos ???

If so you need to see your GP - this could be a sign of hepatitis - I remember being fascinated by having grey poohs as a kid, somethines they were white. Though don't panic, it's the version that is not so serious, is catching by playing, being in contact with others with it & a lot of kids used to get when I was young, though I think less so these days. I remember half the kids in our neighbourhood caught it. It also used to be known as yellow jaundice - though I wasn't yellow, my eyes did get a bit yellow though.

No harm in having a chat with your GP anyway

Good luck

I would make an appointment with the GP tomorrow if you haven't already done so. It could indicate a problem with the liver, so needs to be checked.
