Puffy eyes and temp- 16month old

My DS woke up this morning with a puffy closed eye and a high temp. I cleaned the eye and it opened, but still remains puffy. He also has big purple bags under each eye.

He has slept for around 6 hours since waking at 6am and just isn't himself.

Does it sound serious enough to call 111? My local walk in centre is 30minutes drive away.

I would drive to the walk in centre, 30 minutes doesn't seem that excessive given it is the weekend. If unsure, you could always call them first for advice.

I would suggest he is seen yes. Best get in touch with the out of hours doctor.

Phoned 111 and they booked me an appointment with OOH. Turns out poor DS has a nasty ear infection
