Scarlett Fever?

Dd has been off her food for just over a week. She has been waking constantly in the night, sometimes with a temperature but really not herself. She has had horrid nappies, loose and really stinky and has been pulling at her ears. Also been sick a few times.

All of the above, coupled with being miserable and really grisly I put down to her teething.

Then last night she had a rash. It sort of looked Like prickly heat, DH agreed and said likely as his family are prone to that sort of thing and dd has skin like his mother (poor little bugger!).

I've just been to see neighbour for a coffee and she seems to thin is scarlet fever.

Does the above sound like maybe it could be?

We are supposed to be going on holiday tomorrow with loads of other families. If it is Scarlett fever would that mean we wouldn't be able togoHmm?

If it were SF , and from your description I'd say probably not, after 24hrs of ABs she would not be contagious. How old is she , teething, ear infection a.n. other virus are more likely. Where are you going, could you delay a day or two ?

Oooohhh that would be good if it was SF as not going until tomorrow after school.

Just going to Norfolk for the weekend but was worried as younger baby in house with us.

Yes, I could probably wait to go until Friday and friends take the other kids between them.

She is teething but the teeth have come through so I thought we would have a title interlude of happiness before more come through.
