2 year old's ankles bend in, normal?

My 2 year old dd2 only started walking around 3 months ago, she was previously a bum shuffler so there was no real concern.

We have noticed however that now walking she is extremely clumsy compared to dd1 who also walked late but had no problems one she was off.

Watching her in dresses in the current warm weather we've noticed that her ankles kind of tilt in when she walks although they look straight when she's sat or if you flex her foot it's only with weight on them that they bend....I know that all littlies have flat feet but is this normal or something that we need to visit the gp for?

No advice but watching with interest as my 2 year old has the same thing!

My DS has the same thing - ankles bending in. He now has insoles for flat feet and is hypermobile (he has very bendy ankles). Get a referral from your GP to see a podiatrist or physio. The insoles have really helped him to walk without falling over all the time.

Yes agree, my ds1(8) had this and ended up with insoles. He has hypermobility. X
