Hi,
My ds (8 weeks)always seems to have sweaty feet and hands. It is hot here at the moment so I hadn't thought much of it. But one of Dh's colleagues told him it could be a symptom of something serious. So, what do I do? That's right, I referred to doctor Google! Silly me! Apparently it's either heart disease or a forewarning of SIDS... Sad
Can someone sensible please tell me that their baby is just as sweaty as mine so that I can get some sleep!
Btw, I will bring it up with doctor when I see her next week...

Didn't want to read & run but sadly I didn't have this issue with my son. Can you ring your hv to ease your fears?

Thanks shifty but I'm abroad and don't have one! Think I might repost in chat to get more traffic!

Without meaning to scare you any worse than someone already has but you need to see or at least speak to a dr.

DD1 was born with 2 holes in her heart and one of the things we had to look out for was sweating when feeding as feeding is exercise for babies so if they have a medical issue they tend to have to work harder than usual get the milk especially if breastfed.

DS who is now almost 4yo and DD who is 4mo both had/have sweaty hands and feet in the heat!!

If you're concerned definitely mention it to a Dr. But it isn't something I worry about, especially when it's so warm and my hands and feet aren't exactly powder dry either!

My 10wk old always has sweaty/clammy hands but I just assumed it was cos he always has them in a tight fist and so thought it was normal. Any news on yours?
