Ringworm, kids and cats

I'm looking from an answer from mums who have cats rather than cat owners who have kids IYSWIM. My hairdresser noticed a mark on my son's scalp that turns out to be ringworm which is a fungus. GP said he's likely to have caught it from the cat. We have an adult cat who sleeps on his bed and 2 kittens we got 3 weeks ago. None of the cats have any hair loss and is impossible to see their skin as they are long naked. Son has antifungal cream and have washed all his bedding on 60, hovered his mattress. Some sites suggest massive further treatment. Also should I do anything to the cat if I can't see anything? Answers please from sensible non over reactive non obsessive compulsive hypochondriac cleaners please

Sorry I have no useful advice. But DH has ringworm and he never ever goes anywhere near any cat, so it may not be from them. Maybe a vet could double check them for you. I think what you have done in his bedroom was sensible, I personally would keep them out of his room if you can.

Hope it clears up for him soon.
