Just 4 year old wet the bed last night, it is not totally out of the ordinary so didn't think anything of it, he woke me for a change. He said he didn't need the toilet but then about 5 mins later he said he had weed again but when i checked he hadn't and then he said it again abit later and he hadn't.

He has probably drunk slightly more than usual but not a huge amount but it seems like he's been weeing more and more. We went out for tea at about 4 and he went to the toilet twice in the pub over an hour, then he went again in my mums house when i was dropped her off, then he's done another 3 wee's at home, one of which dribbled in his pants as he left it late, took him back round my mum's at 7 and he went again as soon as he got there. Thats 7 wee's in 3 hours!!! (he usually goes about every 3 hours) and they've all been proper amounts not just dribbles.

Is this the sign of anything wrong, he seems fine in himself??

He was a late potty trainer and only trained at 3.3 years so less than a year ago but he was reliable in the day almost straight away. A blip was last week when we were away and he had quite a few accidents but i'm pretty sure this was down to excitemment and him not wanting to leave whatever play area in was in. He's been completely fine this week up until today

Has he been drinking froot shoots? They make mine pee like horses! Otherwise there may be some kind of bladder irritation, if it continues get him checked out.

Sounds like an infection , take a sample to the dr.

Ohnonotagen · 30/05/2014 20:00

he had one froot shoot at the pub with his food but he didn't drink all of it, maybe half and he's had them before without a problem.

He's sleeping round my mums tonight, have told her to put a towel under him on the bed.

Will have to try and get in docs on monday if it carrys on over weekend.

My 4yo daughter has this from time to time, the Dr diagnosed Pollakiuria.

It seems to come and go and she's fine and happy in herself, and she will grow out of it. Hope this helps.

If he is still like it tomorrow I would phone the ooh dr to dip his sample . My dr left out antibiotics for my DD before she even tested the sample.

She had no pain or any other symptoms, just wet herself without realising it, she was about 8 or 9 at the time.
