What are these spots on DD?

DD had a nasty cold recently and now has spots, mainly on her torso. They are little white bumps surrounded by red patches, disappear under a glass. She is 12mo so can’t communicate if they are itchy but seems to be unbothered.

Theres a pic on my profile if anyone doesn’t mind having a look.

Does it look/sound like chickenpox? Will see a GP tomorrow if they’re still there.

It doesn't look like chickenpox to me, but if it is, by tomorrow some of them should have fluid filled tops.

We have also had an un identified rash this weekend, seems to have gone now, but we had temps up to 39.9 from Monday through to Friday last week followed by rash on Saturday.

Chicken pox are bigger liquid filled spots. They would be itchy. Ds1 was prone to viral skin rashes, could just be one of those. Visit to the doctor tomorrow....

Thank you both, I’ll wait and see what the doc says but relieved it’s not likely to be chicken pox.

Chicken pox was better than I thought. Piriton and calamine cream.

Doinmummy · 27/05/2014 21:33

I think they do look like chicken pox spots !

spanky2 · 28/05/2014 17:04

This sounds like I am bragging, but I remember them being bigger!

Doinmummy · 28/05/2014 18:23

How is DD today Emmanuel

MrsBungle · 28/05/2014 18:29

Those spots look like the first day or two of my dc's chicken pox.

Doinmummy · 28/05/2014 18:31

Grin at competitive chicken pox

EmmanuelWoganberry · 28/05/2014 19:33

She's fine today, the spots were gone by the time she woke up this morning so looks like I worried over nothing.

Haha at 'my pox are bigger than yours!' Grin I do remember my brother having one single chicken pox (pock?) so inadequate pox may run in the family

Glad to hear that she's ok.

My sister had one spot , I was smothered in them!
