Bleeding from bottom

My son age 4 has started bleeding slightly after doing a poo, he's not constipated and I don't think he has been. He eats well and drinks plenty of fluid. Going to go to doctors Monday but any advice in the meantime.

What colour is the blood?

If its red like you cut your finger, then the doctors on Monday is good.

If its brown or looks like coffee grounds phone 999.

If it is bright red it could be piles.

anal fissure. It's really common dd has had it.

Agree with tobysmum that it sounds like an anal fissure. My DS has had this too. Def worth a trip to GP to confirm though.
