7yo with voices in her head

DD had a virus recently and got hallucinations due to high temperature. Ever since she is getting upset by "voices" in her head. The main thing is a Mans voice who sounds angry and shouty. She can't understand what he is shouting though. Today she complained of a wierd noise screaming in her head.

I think it is from the temperature and a kind of retained memory? Any advice?

Hi, were the hallucinations during her virus similar to these 'voices?' has she ever had anything like this before?
My best advice is to try not to worry (easier said than done) and have her checked over by doctors.
I answered your thread as I am psychic and hear voices and people in my head, but also outside of my head too. Sorry just thought I'd share that from my perspective. I hope your daughter is OK, and I can understand how frightened you must be.

Thanks Indigo x Her Hallucinations weren't really verbal - she was just laughing and pointing at the air where she could obv see something! The voice is new (had Hallucinations before with high temp). Seem to be triggered by being in her bedroom I think??

Hi op. Try not to worry too much. I recall an expert discussing this on the radio a while back and iirc it was ridiculously common at that age, and grown out of in most cases. Certainly get it checked out, but try not to worry

Thanks Flywheel x I'm trying to tell myself that! She isn't one for nightmares so perhaps this is her brains way of getting it all out? The joy of Parenthood ? Smile

I used to hear a voice that started very quiet and ended up shouting. I had it most night before I fell asleep at that age. Perfectly normal now - haven't heard it since early teens.
