Excessive bruising

Hi
My DS is 3.6, I've noticed lately he is bruising really easily
After 1 day at nursery yesterday he came home covered in bruises, mainly on his arms and legs.
I noticed it last week too so I mentioned it to nursery this morning as they are all very small bruises like pinch mark sized. But they confirmed he isn't being pinched by anyone

To be honest he is a danger to himself sometimes, but the last few weeks he just seems covered, lots and lots of very small bruises all up his arms and legs

He is on quite a lot of strong medications to control his asthma, and I'm not sure if any of the meds make him more prone to bruising or not?

Should I be worried?

Ask the doctor for a blood test. Could be a clotting issue. Do his gums bleed when you brush his teeth?

defiantly worth a trip to the gp. has he any other symptoms that concerns you ?

No bleeding when I brush his teeth,

The only health issue he has is asthma, he has had 23 hospital admissions Hmm although the hospital are getting it under control now, but he has had way too much drugs pumped into him to get him to this point, especially oral steroids, i guess my worry is that some of these drugs are starting to take a toll on his little body, but without them he wouldn't survive.

gosh poor mite (& poor mom!) can excessive bruising be a side effect of steroids ? have you looked on asthma advise forums to see if any other moms etc have found this to be an issue ?
