Help! my daughter's whiteheads are massive...

My DD (5) has had mahoosive whiteheads on her nose for about a year. We do wash her face... How can we get rid of them? My DH is always threatening to squeeze them but I think that won't help (I think he's had a go TBH). My skincare routine is non-existent so I'm a bit clueless.

Talk to GP first; she's only 5 so shouldn't be getting normal spots.

Ds1 had some kind of bacterial skin thing (strep infection maybe?) that caused big white pus-y spots. It's a bacteria that lots of people have on their skin and sometimes it gets out of hand. We had antibiotic cream, and also hibiscrub skinwash. That sorted it.

Are you certain they are whiteheads and not milia?

MrsWinnibago · 16/05/2014 11:51

Here are some pics of Milia here

No I'm not sure they're not milia. In which case she basically has to keep them until they go away? Is there any point taking her to the GP?

yes...you might get referred to a dermatologist....do NOT let dh squeeze them whatever you do.
