I may be being precious but i was just wondering if anyone had any experience of this and could shed some light.

DS is 13 months old and mixed race. He has recently started developing slightly darker pigmented patches on his forehead, nowhere else, yet. His father has freckles, so they could be those i suppose, but they are bigger than your average freckle, c 0.5cm.

Any ideas?

Hi there...I'm no dermatologist but it's possible that it's Melasma. This is common in women but can appear in children too and is usually charactarized by darker patches of pigment in the skin. It's not at al dangerous here's an article about it

If I were you I would see your GP just to set your mind at rest and see if you should be using a sun protection daily on him.x
