Slapped cheek disease?

My Dc has a raised temperature, bumpy rash over face, a little on neck, with cheeks being especially red and blotchy.

Does this sound like slapped cheek (fifth) disease? And does it require a trip to the GP or should I have it checked to be sure. Alsp wondering how long it lasts and if it is contagious at this stage.

Many thanks

Does to me. Mine got it all over their body. They looked like they had a really bad case of sunburn! I think it was a few days from the rash coming out to fading enough to look presentable!

It is contagious while the rash is still there, I think. Particularly bad for pregnant women in the 2nd trimester if I remember correctly.
