Recommendations for kids sun protection needed please!

I have two kids 15m and 4yr who I am trying to purchase sun protection for. However, there are a million products by hundreds of brands and I do not know which is good or which isn't. As they are so costly, I can't afford a trial and error exercise. So can any one recommend what they use, tell me their experiences, what to steer clear of etc?
Also, my little one does have eczema, so it would be helpful if you could tell me which to avoid and which are gimmicks, if you are in the know

I recommend Jason's. It's lovely and my dd didn't react to it (eczema) at all unlike the standard supermarket ones. We use factor 45. It's pleasant smelling not chemically smelling and applies nicely!!

Avoid the all day ones they are pretty harsh on the skin.

Sunsense is great for eczema too. We get it on prescription so it might be worth asking your doctor.

how do u get sunsence on prescription?
this is the only suncream lo can have due to reactions, but it's really expensive?

I am not sure how to get it on prescription, but I am going to make an appointment to try. I have been told that Sudocrem Sunscreen Mousse Kids and Babies SPF 50 is really good for eczema prone babies. I am yet to try it. Again, it's an expensive product to just trial

my ds has eczema and has always been fine with nivea for sensitive skin (the white bottle). He has very fair skin so I use a lot and can't afford very expensive ones for that reason. I got three bottles of nivea sensitive for £15 from Morrison's the other week. Good luck, I hope you get the prescription sun cream. that would be great!

So I got Sunsense on prescription last night. The chemist have had to order it in and I collect it Friday. I can let you all know how my little girl gets on with it. Nursery pile it on and it costs me a bomb, so this should save me a few pennies as well as keep her skin hydrated.
tacal - I find Nivea brings me out in a rash, for this reason I am reluctant to use it on my children. My friend swears by Nivea. Skin is a funny thing!

that's great you got the sunscreen on prescription. I never thought of doing that. I am not a fan of nivea either so was surprised their sensitive sun cream was ok for ds. I am too scared to change in case it triggers his eczema again.
