Hi all. My little one is coming up seven months. He doesn't have any teeth yet but has had two episodes of teething. They seem to be accompanied by refusal to feed from one breast, all over body rash, lots of crying (which is unlike him) and this time ear tugging and refusal to easy any solids (exceot hummous...). Does this sound normal?

Sounds more like an earinfection/inflammation than teething to me.

Not feeding from one side is likely because the painful ear hurts more in that position, all over body rash is not a sign of teething (nappy rash may get worse though) refusal of solids is common with illness but usually with teething everything goes into the mouth and chewing on the spoon so you can;t get solids in more usual.

I would take his temperature and get a Gp to look at his ears and consider using some infant pain relief.

Hope he's better soon

Cheers. He hasn't had a temp at all. Last time he was teething he got an all over rash. .. Seems to be his specific teething symptom! He's always been a bit fussy about one boob but flat out refused to feed from that side when teething.
