Hi everyone...my son is diagnosed with large adenoids, completely occluding his posterior choanae. He is 6 years old.
Doctor said surgery is required to remove adenoids, and he explain to me that there is a risk of bleeding during the operation. Also, dental injury with possibility of nasal regurgitation.
We are as a parents feel unhappy for all these effects, could please if anyone have an experience in this same case to advice me what I can do and if anyone know any other private ENT in london and recommend me to visit. Thanks

I think you need to go back to the doctor and talk it through further. They are obliged to tell you about the risks, even though they are probably very small. It is then up to you to make a decision about whether you accept these small risks. The doctor should be able to give you some insight into the statistics of complications which may well reassure you, but also importantly you need to talk through the risks of not going ahead with the surgery too and balance up the decision.
