Rash on newborn - advice please!

My 6 week old daughter has developed a rash on her neck and chest today.

It looks like tiny red spots with red patches in between.

She is well in herself. Alert, noisy and feeding regularly.

She is due her 6wk check tomorrow. Should I wait for the check or phone the GP now?

I have done the glass test and am pretty sure the rash disappears when pressed.

I'd phone the GP today to get it checked out. I also have a 6 week old and that's what I'd do. I'm sure everything's fine, just best to err on the side of caution with these tinies!

Thanks Slh22, I've just phoned and they said as she doesn't seem unwell just to keep an eye on her and either phone GP's or go to A&E if anything changes.

At least I'm reassured now.

Thanks

If you are breast feeding have you eaten anything out of the ordinary?
If ff ignore comment.

Just had a thought my ff ds got this sometimes as he dribbled milk so his top would get damp and he got a slight rash. Wrap a muslin round her neck while feeding of this is the case.
