DD (3) barely drinks anything - is that ok?

DD is 3.5 years and barely drinks any fluids during the day - perhaps half a child size cup full per day? She only drinks SS milk or occasionally water. Is this ok - will she be getting adequate fluids from her food - or should I be trying to bribe her to drink more/ introducing squash/juice to see if she'll drink more of those?

Thanks!

I wouldn't try bribing her no. Does she drink water overnight? Has she always got access to water? Do you drink lots of water, with every meal at the least?

There's no minimum recommendation for milk at this age so as long as she has calcium elsewhere in her diet the milk should be an issue. Would she enjoy making a milkshake with you? Maybe add banana and a scoop of ice cream to the milk and whizz it up? How about making some lollies with her too?

Try her with water rich foods too, like broccoli and cauliflower, jelly, soup, melon and berries, not necessarily all in the same bowl though Smile
