hoping someone can help! Smile

my daughter has had a temperature every evening since Monday - 40 ish

during the day she's not 100% but OK, and no temp' has been off school for two days and me off work because of the obv temp at night.

I'm sure its viral but would you send her to school tomorrow or another day of rest?

temp going up again now, saw gp today but of course had no temp at that point!

thank you

No idea but my 3 year old is doing exactly the same thing...it was 40.4 last night but back to normal this morning so he went to nursery. He has been a bit more cuddly than usual but not "ill". He has just fallen asleep on my lap while having his story so popped him to bed and he is burning up again.

Its very strange!

I'm sure it's viral. Something similar going around my area too - dd had it last week, as did her 3 year old cousin. Did the doctor check there wasn't an ear or chest infection, just in case?

It passes after 4 or 5 evenings of high temps, although the first day I had to use both Calpol and Ibuprofen to bring the temperature down from 41.

There is no way I'd be sending a kid with that high a fever to school or nursery the next day.
