Threadworms...

I'm pretty sure the DC are infected (letter home from school and within a couple of days they were all itching like mad!) I've treated and am hot washing all bedding and towels, and making sure they wear (clean) pants day and night. Is there anything else I can do? The thought of worms really freaks me out and my hands are red raw from washing!!

Also - they have been like dustbins when it comes to food the last few days, and are constantly asking for food, do you think this is to do with the worms?

Chill OP.....I say this as a mother who's no3 child brings them home approx once every 6 months and has done for years. I can't remember the stats but it's something like 30% of children have them at any one time. Make sure that your kids know to tell you as soon as they have an itchy bottom and in that way you catch them early. Dose straight away and then change bedding and towels the next day. I also wipe door handles and loo flushes but past that, give up as it's the Forth Bridge! Make sure that the whole family have a tablet and do a second dose in 14 days if you're not sure they've gone. xx

Keep all your nails short !
And only use liquid soap.

You're not chilling are you!? Untrue about never getting rid of them, but I suspect due to the ages of children, it just feels like that a bit. Seriously, I've never even seen a letter from school about threadworms (in any of the 3 we've been at)....they're so not a big deal. Just dose, change a few things and move on.
