Hi all

Just wondered if anyone had experienced impetigo with their children/ babies. My seven month LG was diagnosed last week after being put on steroid cream for inflammation around the mouth. She is now on antibiotic cream for taught days big is still itching at night. Just wondered if anyone had used anything that worked. Thanks

My DS had it but was older. He had oral antibiotics for 5 days and an antibiotic cream for his nose, which started working to clear it almost straight away.

op be very careful with it.

Dd1 had it when she was a baby. It was passed on to her by her older cousin who was nicking her bottles when they were visiting there dgm. Angry

DGM didn't see a problem with it.

It passed to her lips, mouth and gums as she was teething. They were a mess Sad at one point her lips scabbed together while she was a sleep.

Ice lollys helped with the antibiotics .

Hope she gets well soon x

Dd1 had it when she was 4. Its HIGHLY contiguous so be careful about sharing any towels, cloths etc.

DDs cleared up within days of using antibiotic cream.

Beware....it spreads like wildfire!!
