Eyes look strange after squint surgery

My daughter had squint surgery in December. It seemed to go well but we feel her eye is drifting a bit and looks kind of glassy/starey. Is this normal - will it settle down? Any comments welcome.

take her back and/or call the surgeon/opthamologist to ask what to expect

That eye may well be weaker so the brain is not bothering to look through it much. Take her back to outpatients and they should advise on exercises etc, don't let them fob you off until the appearance and her sight are ok

Thank you for your replies. I will take her back but before they said because she has a problem in both eyes patching etc wouldn't work and her brain is basically re-programming it to how it was before surgery. If there is nothing that can be done does anyone have any suggestions on how the school can handle it or what we can say to her as we're worried that it will be more of an issue as she's getting older. Many thanks.
