What is this bug going around?

Does anybody know? DD8 had a temperature of nearly 40 last weekend, it has slowly but steadily gone down. Still 38 deg C today. Very stuffed nose, lots of sniffles, red, watery eyes, a bit shivery.

Her teacher said there is something doing the rounds at school. Anyone know about this bug? Parents of school age children, help me please. I keep thinking it's just a cold and have so far not taken her to the Dr. Should I?

Badvoc - how did ds get on at the Doctor today?

Ds still unwell - day 6. He is sleeping so much. I think dh will have to take him to the Doctor tomorrow.

I didn't take him Yama.
He has no temp and is eating, albeit not much.
Trouble is, I can't keep him off school any longer...the gp will say it's a virus - as they have the last 2 times I have taken him.
Sigh.
Sorry your LO is still so poorly :(

Yeah, it's shit isn't it? I don't remember ever being so floored as a child. Hopefully school will perk your ds up rather than tire him out.

Sigh...we are considering moving him tbh :(

Moving school? Is he unhappy?

We (well, I) considered moving dd from her school a few times. A class full of bullying types. However, she seems to be happier now. Touchwood.

Parenting can be so emotionally draining, can't it?

Oh yes.
If it's not the work, it's the worry!
