My son (4) was diagnosed with a lymphangioma on his left elbow about a year ago. He had a scan and it was confirmed that it was full of lymph with no blood vessels going to it, and since it causes him no problems, advice was to leave it unless it got a lot bigger and uncomfortable. It was very squishy and clearly full of liquid.
In the last few months, the lump has actually got smaller, about half the previous size. We were surprised by this but assumed it was reducing by itself. However, I have just had a feel of it and it's now a fairly hard lump, not squishy like it was before. I am going to try and get him a doctors appointment tomorrow but I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else? Am a bit scared now that the lump is hard.
