Hi all.

My almost 3 year old came down with what I think was norovirus on Saturday (and passed it in to me and dh on Monday, but I digress). She had no diarrhea and the vomiting was short-lived, with only 2 bouts on Saturday, but since then she's been off her food, turning her nose up at her usual meals. Very bad tempered last night, and she's not been sleeping through either, possibly because she's so breaking hungry. She ate most of a banana last night, refused lunch and dinner, had most of an oaty bar.

She's not a great eater anyway, and is even off her cereal. She ate a bit this morning, then refused the rest. Otherwise seems fine, but a little grumpy still so perhaps still not feeling 100 %.

Anyway, I wanted to ask, is this normal?

Whoops, sorry, I should add that she is speech delayed, and not talking yet, so I can't just ask her what's wrong or anything like that.

I would say it's just the nature of the bug. my 8 year old had a similar sounding bout of vomiting over Christmas. Even afte he stopped being sick he didn;t want to eat anythn gfor a couple of days and and took a couple of weeks to get his appetite properly back.

I think it sounds quite normal , as long as she's drinking at the moment and eating bits and bobs, I wouldn't worry.

Thanks guys, I'll try not to fret too much then. Would love a night of uninterrupted sleep though...
