Vertical ridges on nails

Hello, before I go annoying the GP over this I just wanted to run it by you lovely MNetters first Smile

I noticed this morning that Dd 4 has developed vertical ridges on all her finger nails, and I'm pretty sure they weren't there in the past (I have them so would of noticed before now). Has anyone had any experience of this with their Dc?

My DS used to have them, it's perfectly normal and is a sign of a good calcium intake, don't see the GP about it :)

Thank you Nicole. I was just a little panicky as I developed mine along with escalated joint pain but this may just of been a coincidence.

I think vertical ridges are nothing to worry about - it's horizontal ridges which might indicate a problem.
