Anti-biotics for nasal congestion?

dd is 14 weeks now (7 weeks prem born via c section) Since birth she has sounded congested. She was only in special care for a day and feeds well, is alert and has shown no other signs of illness or issues linked with being prem.
I have tried everything to help with the congestion but nothing helps apart from childrens albas oil at night.
Took her to docs yesterday who gave her anti biotics. I am in two minds to give them as she is not unwell as such?
Anyone come across this before?

Funny you should say this, my dd was 6 weeks prem and always seemed bunged up last winter when she was small. A snot sucking device helped. I think her nasal tubes were just really small as I remember they struggled to get the feeding tube in in SCBU.

C section babies can b quite snuffly and bunged up even when born at term as they don't get the fluid squashed out if them. It took my ds1 until he was about 4/5 months to clear it fully and he was born at 39 wks but I do remember being v worried by it at the time. Does ur dd have a temp? Maybe speak to Hv or another dr x

Thank you, she has no other signs of illness at all. I spoke to my hv yesterday who pointed out that if it was an infection its been there for nearly 15 weeks, so its unlikely to be that. I thought maybe a milk intolerance but again she shows no other signs.
Is there anything else which helped at all?

With my ds1 it was just a case of it clearing itself and his tubes getting bigger dr told me not to use the nasal aspirators? Sucky things as the congestion was too far in and would just upset him more than it would help. But worth checking as advice is always changing. Ds1 was a bit if a chunk and not prem and I remember it being awful to hear/watch and constantly worrying must b terrible for u. Ds1 is lactose intolerant (ds2 and dd r also but they were vbacs) but he was very colicky sick/reflux and just generally unhappy x x
