First signs of chickenpox?

My 3 year old DD was playing with a couple of friends about a week ago who the next day came down with chicken pox. So we've been looking out for it...
She has had a couple of pinprick marks on her face yesterday and a slight rash on her shoulder last night and a slightly elevated temperature last night as well. Seems fine today-rash has gone but another pink spot has appeared on her cheek-not blisterey.
Not sure if I'm being paranoid!
Also not sure whether to keep her off nursery tomorrow. She seems fine and I'm inclined to wait to see if she gets blisters or a temperature to keep her at home but I'm not sure..
What's others experience on the very first symptoms?

With DS (who had it when he was 2 or 3) the first sign was when he inexplicably, out of the blue threw up on me! No warning, just .....bleurghhhhh!

DS was a bit off colour in the morning, then suddenly spots - which seemed to multiply in front of our eyes (I swear we went into Macdonalds without any - obviously wouldn't have gone out at all if we knew he had chickenpox - and by the time he'd eaten his burger his face was covered)

Get the pox mousse stuff if you can - I remember scratching myself raw, but DS came through with just one scar because we kept him coated in the stuff and it helped him stop scratching them.
