DS is 7 and for the last 3 or so weeks he has been for a bowel movements about 5 times a day. He has even been waking up in the night. He doesn't complain of pain and has only mentioned feeling a bit sick a couple of times before going to the loo. I have inspected poo the last few days and noticed mucus too so took him to GP this morning. Felt tummy all ok and weighed and measured him. He is very skinny only 20 kilos. Does this sound very underweight. My husband and I are both skinny so I haven't really worried about it before but I am now feeling guilty that I should have . They have suggested that we monitor for another 10 days and if no improvement do blood test for coeliac . Does this sound like a possibility? I thought he would have pain and maybe a distended tummy? Do children of his age get Ibs?

Do you think cows milk protein intolerance could be a possibility?

I was thinking a possibility. He was tested a few years ago because if other allergies and was fine but I am allergic to dairy. I have always been allergic. Is it possible to become allergic at his age?

Not sure, I've always had an intolerance but my DC are fine. Might be worth discussing with your GP Smile
