Hi there
My 15 month old dd has had diarrhoea for a week now on and off. She's just got a back tooth through, which is fully out now, so not sure if it's teething, or just one of these nasty bugs.

She's not very hungry, and at the moment I'm sticking to dry foods, such as toast, crackers cereals etc. she's been on cows milk now since a couple of weeks before she was 1, and been fine with it, so I've ruled out intolerance. She has a morning bottle and one before bed, then drinks plenty of water throughout the day.

At the moment she's upset all the time, doesn't want to play, doesn't want to sit down, doesn't want to do anything except cry & I'm at a loss of what to do. I'm giving her calpol and would love it if she would just cuddle up, but she just pushes herself away when I try to cuddle her. She comes up and hugs me for a few seconds and that's it- very independent. She's still sleeping at night, but having random explosions that one pair of hands can't really deal with.

I don't feel as if I know what I'm doing, feel like I can't cope, and need constant reassurance since my husband went back to work a week ago.

Any advice on what it might be, how I can cope?
I feel useless :-/

some people say to cut milk out to shorten diarrhea. It's likely to be a virus a load of nonsense is talked about teething imo, they are teething for pretty much 18 months so anything can potentially be blamed on it.
