DD has a hot rash on face?

She came out in it earlier, bright red blotches on her cheeks and chin. I assumed she had had a slight reaction to the baked beans she had for lunch but the rash is still there.

It feels really hot to the touch, although the rest of her feels cool. She has slight temp of 38c which I have given her calpol for (she is prone to convulsions so dont like to risk it with temps, especially at night time)

Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? She is 21 months. Thanks Smile

I agree. Google slapped cheek.

Ah yes, just googled slapped cheek and the symptoms sound very similar, never heard of it before. Thanks for that.

Another viral infection, she has only just got over hand, foot and mouth Sad

Well I think DD definitely has slapped cheek, she has been very lethargic and clingy today and has been asleep for the past two hours, she doesnt normally sleep in the day.

Temp is still in the 38c range even with calpol. The internet says seeing a doctor is unecessary with it being a viral infection, but think I will see how she goes.

Does anyone with any experience of slapped cheek have any advice to make her feel a bit better? Thank you.
