My 22 month old daughter fellwas tripping and I was holding her hand and my instinct was to pull to stop her falling. She dislocated her elbow and although it was put back in I am feeling so guilty. I was told this is a common enough injury but wanted to know has anyone else ever had this happen Sad

I sometimes work in children's a&e and see a child or two with a pulled elbow every time I'm there if that's any reassurance? It's pretty amazing how their poor little arm goes from rag doll like normally after the simple manoeuvre they do isn't it?
Try not to feel bad it is common and lots of children get it.
Just to warn you it may happen again - some children's joints are a little more flexi than others. Won't necessarily do so but just to warn you just in case Grin

Yes. My son was prone to it. It happened once when hewas playing on his own - dont know how. ANd once when dh pushed his sleeve up to wash his hands.
He was very prone to it. We had quite a few trips to a&e.
You really shouldnt blame yourself. These things happen.
