Normal SATs - Sleep Study

Hi,

My 5yr old DD has just spent the night in hospital for a sleep study.

Can anyone tell me what the normal oxygen levels should be in a 5 yr old please? Both when awake and asleep.

TIA

It's very difficult to say without more detail. Depends why she is is having a sleep study, tbh.

In the absence of illness and any pre existing condition, O2 sats should be in the region of 95%+ (an occasional dip during deep, REM sleep would not be a cause for concern, but regular and prolonged drops overnight would be)

In certain situations, lower sats than this would be acceptable (some heart conditions, for example)

I would take advice from your care providers. Good luck x

Thank you for you replies.

AF - I've just send you a pm. Should add that DD has no illnesses or pre existing conditions. Thanks.
