Is It Reflux Or Lactos Intolerance?? Help!

Hi Im A Second Time Mummy But Never Had This Prob With My 1st..
My 11 Week Old Lg Is Constantly Sick After Feeds I Mean Half The Bottle Will Come bk Up Before Next Feed, She Either Has Bad Constipation Or The Runs Sorry For TMI, Ive Tried 4 Diff Milks And Im Currently On SMA Stay Down Its Helping A Lil But Shes Still Sick A Few Times Before Next Bottle And The Painful Acreams We Had For Hours Every Night Have Stopped (ThankGod!) .. Doctors Gave Me Gaviscon Before I Changed Milk Recently But It Was Usless.. Any Ideas Ladies?

It could be reflux, if the gaviscon didn't help I would go back to the go and ask for something else. The next step is ranitidine which is what my DS is on. It's more likely to be a cows milk protein intolerance rather than a lactose intolerance, they are different things. If it is you need milk free formula which you can get on prescription.

Go back to the GP. I was fobbed off quite a lot as my DS always out on weight, which is irrelevant as he screamed and projectile vomited his feeds. Eventually we got a referral to an allergy consultant who was brilliant.

true lactose intolerance it's life threatening and you'd know if it was that within the first couple of weeks.

it could however be cows milk protein intolerance, which is quit common. I'd head back to the doctors, I would think it's more likely cows milk then reflux only because you mention the runs, if nappies are green and bad smelling or contain mucus at all its more likely cows milk.
