Huge tonsils but nothing else

DS is almost 3. Has severe glue ear and had one set of grommets at 18mo.
He's got a tiny cold at the moment but complains of no ear or throat pain. He is reliable with his reporting of pain.
I noticed last night that he was snoring like a drunk. This morning I looked at his tonsils and they are huge. Surprised he's getting any food down!
He's been very naughty since this cold which is out of character but otherwise fine. Should I be concerned?
