Hello, just after some general advice. DD 13mo has rattly cough. We went to gp on fri and they said her chest was clear and it's just viral. Cough much worse today though. No temp but just coughing all through the night, poor poppet. Have given her, is it glycerin? But that's all. She has a plug in olbas thing. Any other ideas? We do steam in the bathroom ever morning too.
When should I be worried about a cough?

apparently putting vicks on their feet at night then putting socks on almost eradicates it? my doctor told me to only be concerned about coughs when you can feel the rattle at the bottom of the back of the chest of that makes sense?

My two always have rattly night coughs with a cold that seem to go on for weeks, and have only ever once needed ABs when they were very obviously poorly. I tend to not worry unless they have a temp. If they struggle to breathe obviously I would get them seen. The Vicks on the feet is a good tip, as is a humidifier, or a bowl of water if you can position one above a radiator. I sympathise because it is so hard to hear them cough and cough and to not be able to help them.
