Molloscum Contagion - there is a cure!

My daughter had this for almost two years. It went from a few under her armpit to literally about 8 on her bottom. 3 on her back 2 on her stomach and a few on her thighs. They were large red and extremely noticeable. Sometimes they really itched too. My daughter who is 8 hated them.
After being told by the doctor it was Molloscum but there is no cure I started trawling the Internet. I came across a thread about iodine. It says it fights the infection but you have to get it in the spot.
So I got some iodine from the chemist and some cocktail sticks and cotton buds. I put some iodine in the lid then put the end of the cocktail stick in it and stabbed it gently into the spot so as to just break the skin. It did hurt a bit but not too bad. I then swabbed over it with more iodine from the cotton bud dipped in it. They scabbed over and I still put iodine on them when they'd scabbed but didn't stab them.
Within 2 weeks they've all completely cleared up not even a mark. I really wish I'd tried this sooner when she had one or two as it could have been a much different story.
If you're child has it then hope this works for you too. Keep the faith there is a cure its annoying doctors don't recommend it. This didn't feel too chemical either. I've heard hydrogen peroxide too but that sounds a bit hardcore to me. Good luck!

I had this for a few years, the dr pulled them off for me. A few more came up and I just squeezed/pulled and that was that.

Just saw this thread (have just started another one about Molluscum, it seems it's everywhere!) I agree with MincedMuffPies, removing them is the answer

I agree. 'Picking' them off worked for DS.
