What do you make of DS2's symptoms?

DS2 is 11 and is one of those children who hates to miss school. Yesterday, he woke up full of cold saying his throat hurt and feeling generally horrible. he had the day off, stayed on the settee all day. Appetite unaffected though.

At 3am this morning he was on the loo with explosive bowels for about an hour. Then was sick 3 times. Off he went back to bed with water and the sick bowl.
He has got up this morning saying he feels fine and is his normal self. Still bunged up with a cold but ok.

Do you think that's it? Confused

Possibly. Dd1 had this on Thursday night and bounced right back to normal Envy

Did anyone else catch it Jewel?

No, but dd2 says she has a tummy ache (I put it down to attention seeking until proved otherwise...she's 3 so wants what her sister is having Xmas Grin)

Grin When he was being sick last night I felt like joining in but that's just me. There was lettuce in it. Bleurgh.

I had an upset tummy Friday 4am - 8am then all day felt like crap, today I feel fine apart from a wee bit of a sore throat.

I tied dd1's hair up and very nearly joined her too, so I got dh from downstairs to deal with it and I took over cooking ( with difficulty). Dh is very good with sick and also in charge of removing dog poo from shoes and bikes. Well, he has to have his uses I guess Grin.
Hope you all stay well now for Christmas.

Weird goings on for sure. I hope nobody else gets it now although if it is a bug it's a really strange one.

Sounds like a nasty cold+vomiting bug - I seem to remember one going round last year. Hope you don't all get it in time for Christmas.

I have this. Feel bloody awful. I think it's all the snot going in my tummy as I sleep at night that's making me nauseous. Made my DS puke though earlier this week. Then he was fine. Horrid bug. I feel so rough.
