Do I need to be concerned about this?

DS3 (13 months) has had a cold/chest cough type this for the past week (we all have!)

He's woken up this morning with a fever which has come down with infant paracetamol but he can't seem to stay upright or walk without falling over.

He's usually really steady on his feet, he's been walking a good few months now, but today it's like he's dizzy, he's like a tiny drunk.

Is it the cold causing him to be wobbly or should I be seeking medical advice.

His temp has come right down to a normal reading, he is quite happy, eating, drinking, wet and dirty nappies, alert etc etc.

He may have an ear infection, that could cause him to be unsteady. It wouldn't do any harm to call NHS Direct if you want to get medical advice.

Hope you all feel better soon!

Yy - I was also thinking possible ear infection. May need antibiotics so I'd get it checked out just in case.

I have a GP calling me, I've not seen him pulling at his ears or anything but he's really not right so it's best to get checked.

Ahhh poor little thing. I'm glad you've been to the doctors it did sound worrying for you. Oh and good luck with the antibiotics Grin
