I have a dd 3y with usually mild eczema which we use Avenno and eumovate (for flare ups). Never had any experience with infected eczema until this week- she had a dry flaky chin/lips due to the cold weather for the last 1-2 weeks which I tried different lip balms for but became infected in the last few days. Thought I could treat myself with fucidin but just made things worse. Ended up at out of hours yesterday and got oral flucloxicillin. It seems better this morning, thankfully. Anyone with advice on the best treatment for lips/chin area for this cold weather and any ideas how to give flucloxicillin as it tastes so vile it's a struggle to get her to swallow it! Grateful for any advice.
