Hi everyone I posted in October in despair at my three year olds warts, he had about 40.

I ended up taking him to see a consultant who prescribed 'Aldara 5%' also known as 'Imiquimod' - I had expected I would have to sedate him and get them iced off.

It is usually prescribed for genital warts.

I have applied it three times a week for about 2 months (when he goes to sleep so it has the night to stay on the hands and so they dont rub their eyes with it on).

It isn't acid so you can rub it in like any old cream, just as long as it goes on the warts.

This week we have noticed significant shrinkage and they have gone yellow and soft having previously been hard and large. They are definitely disappearing!

So go and ask for this stuff if you need to get rid of warts! It is amazing!

I had it prescribed in Ireland so you may have to specifically ask your GP for it.

Good luck!

Two months is quite a long time for a cream to start working? Are you sure they're not just going away on their own? The body normally overcomes the wart virus after 18 mths to 2 years on its own. I had loads on my hands as a kid. One day they started disappearing all on their own.

Well I suppose they could be going on their own, but they were absolutely huge and all arrived in a 5 month period this summer, they were over every finger and part of his hands and were bleeding and catching regularly.

He was getting very upset about them, and school were concerned about them. Frankly the €80 I have paid each month since the cream was prescribed was worth every penny.

They have also disappeared exactly when his consultant said they would.

Oh and I wasn't prepared for them to wait for them to go away on their own at some point in the future!

Oh and this cream also creates an immunity to the virus so no more warts or veruccas to come.

Fair enough if they're big and catching- I had loads but they were small so it was only cosmetic really
