Non-itchy chicken pox?

After one of my sons having CP a couple of weeks ago, another has now got it. I'm pretty certain, from the length, blustering, size etc that it is chicken pox but neither of them have had any itching at all. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a non itchy strain of CP?

There is Hand Foot and Mouth Disease which looks a bit like CP and isn't itchy.

I don't think it's HF&M as not spots on any of those three places and CP is rife in both of their classes at nursery/ school at the moment. I suppose it could be though....

My daughter was only itchy one evening and I think that because she was warm in bed. She'd been around a friend with it two weeks before, so I was sure that's what it was.

I think my DD has chicken pox, she says they dont itch and some already look scabbed over, she doesnt have many spot.

Shes 6 and has never had it before, a little boy in her class had it, so its possible she has it.

My DS wasn't particularly itchy apart from one afternoon. The main effect was he was exhausted and very run down. DD was a bit itchier but again the worst symptom was the exhaustion. They definitely definitely had it.

Neither of my boys were itchy with it.

Thanks for sharing experiences. He had a few bouts if itchiness today but he's comfortable most of the time.

They've both been completely fine with lack of any other symptoms other than spots. DS1 already has far, far more spots than DS2 had last week. Wonder if this means DS3 will be the unlucky one who gets it badly.
