DS' poo smells 'ill' if that makes any sense and he had diarrhoea over 2 weeks ago but is still having stomach ache in the evenings followed often by three enormous poos all at once (and ending in diarrhoea sometimes).

Is this constipation? Or a bug? Or an undiagnosed allergy? (Dd was similar before we knew she couldn't eat wheat or dairy but DS doesn't eat these).
The GP last week said to wait and see but I'm still wanting to help it!
Thanks if anyone has ideas and sorry about the unpleasant topic!

Bugs can hang around in thw gastrointestinal tract of little ones even after the worst part of it has cleared up. How is your son in himself?

I'd be inclined to insist that the Dr takes a stool sample from your boy, just to err on the side of caution.

Thank you. I will ring and book an appointment as this sounds a good idea.
He's ok in himself except tired- but then he never seems to have 'normal' energy to run around and I might mention this too in case still iron deficient.

Thanks
