DD8 has had gastric flu/ stomach bug type virus with serve to moderate then mild stomach pains. She hasn't vomited and hasn't had more than one or two loose stools. But pain cycle has been going for 9 days and today she has missed school for the first time in years to be honest. She didn't even go to class. Her little sister had the same but for only 2/3 days but she vomited her guts up three times and recovered. Elder daughter has a fear of vomiting (we've just noticed associated with hysteria) and although Felt sick seemed to prevent it coming up. Could this be why recovery is longer. Is it normal for pain to keep coming and going for so long. GP ruled out appendicitis as pain got bad over weekend. She still hasn't regained appetite but eats a little now and then. Any opinions on whether this seems normal or not appreciated.
