Remind me how long does prednisalone take to work?

Just given ds (6) his first dose due to low peak flow and asthma cough. How long until I can expect to see a difference? It's ages since he's needed them and I've forgotten. He's also on antibiotics for a possible chest infection too if that's relevant.

Ps I hate asthma it turns a very mild cold into a really shitty situation!

With DS it normally take a couple of hours for it to kick in, I thin kthe hospital say 6 hours with pred.

Hope it kicks in soon.
