What am I doing wrong with trying to get a urine sample??

I've been asked to provide a urine sample from my 2.6 non potty trained DS. They gave us a couple of the bags you stick on inside their nappy but although he is helpfully trying to tell us when he's weed, the bag doesn't seem to be catching it, or not enough anyway. I went to the GP who gave us two more bags but we've just messed up with another one! One left - so what are we doing wrong? Am I just going to have to take his nappy off and follow him around the house with the bottle?!

Been there trying to do this with a sample child. I would give hi a drink and get him on your lap with the bag in the right position and watch some telly. Eventually it will come. Good luck.

Can't they give you a pot to put in the potty instead?

Make sure he's pointing into the bag. And make sure it's stuck down, don't use baby wipes first.
